Today’s agriculture, construction, and forestry workers must house and feed an aging population in a warming world, while conserving the planet’s natural resources and safeguarding the land for posterity. Added to those challenges are the impact of advanced technologies and telematics, remote diagnostics, and a new relationship between people and machines that is helping business and its customers increase production and reduce waste. Farmers are learning to deal with autonomous vehicles (drones) and precision farming, connected to the IoT, as they combat poor soil, pests, lack of water, and plant disease.

The transformation of agriculture industry is underway using data and analytics to better inform processes and product development.
